The roles of chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer of the group have merged at L’Oréal, with the recent change to its executive structure. Jean-Paul Agon, L’Oréal’s chief executive officer adds company chairman to his title, as Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones steps down as chairman of the company’s board prior to his 65th birthday on March 17. Owen-Jones served an amazing 42 years at L’Oréal, including 23 years as chairman, and has now been appointed honorary chairman. He continues his roles as a director of L’Oréal and chairman of the L’Oréal Foundation.
